The Dragon Boat Festival is the fifth day of the fifth month of the Lunar calendar every year. It began in the spring and autumn Warring States Period in China and has a history of more than 200 years. According to the “Jingchu Chronicles”, the fifth day of May is also called the “Dragon Boat Festival” because of the ascension of the sun in midsummer. Record: In September 200, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization officially reviewed and approved the inclusion of the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival in the World Intangible Cultural Heritage, becoming the first festival in China to be selected as a world intangible Cultural heritage.
